The big move!

I made the big move up to San Francisco this past weekend. It’s something I’d been mulling over for many a month, but then the perfect opportunity presented itself. So here I am. I’m up in Russian Hill (I’ve yet to learn what that implies) at the intersection of Polk and Union. That’s an huge perk, since it’s a Google shuttle stop! Anyways, expect more San Francisco-related blog posts in the near future as I explore the city.

Almost there!!!

Packing is a real pain. Three hours later, what do I do with all this crap on the floor? It just drags on and on…

It’s not San Francisco without scarce parking spots. This is one of the tighter spots I’ve ever (not quite) fit in:

Rest assured, I adjusted later in the day for a perfect fit. My place is up on a hill, so it has some pretty sweet views. Here’s one from my street corner:

Just as I was on the verge of sleep that night, I realized I’d forgotten to put two vital screws in my bed. All night, I had semi-lucid sensations of bed quivering. Was it really going to stay in one piece the whole night through? (spoiler: yes)

Now this is starting to look better!

So now I’m up in SF, adjusting to my 2+ hours in the shuttle every day. Come visit sometime!
